A twenty-four page manga adaptation of the film that was featured in the July issue of CoroCoro before the film's release.
However, the very wild difference in Jirarudan's character has led to his being christened "NotJiri" by fans. There are also several other inconsistencies; the art varies, Melody has been cut entirely and Shamouti Island is reduced to only the Shrine.

Pokémon 2000 - Program Books
English
The English version had a much more limited release, given as a distribution to children staying at Quality Inns in the United States. While it lacked the Ancient Mew, it contained several bonus pages of activities and more general series-oriented things.

Japanese
The program book was distributed at Japanese movie theaters, and contains the Ancient Mew card that began Jirarudan's collection. This is where that fact is originally stated, worked into dialogue in the film itself in dubs outside Japan for lack of another way to express it.

- Early Ancient Mew prints had the word "Nintendo" in the copyright information misspelled as "Nintedo". A new print was issued, but a shimmery variant on it was rarer than the misprint, making this a card truly suited to a collector.
- The final corrected version is identical to those released outside Japan, save for the copyright year being 1999 rather than 2000.
