Everything is just as you had planned: a tangible hope, as if reality and the sublime crossed paths and merged into this piece of perfection.
However, for a brief moment, time stops. What if you had simply spent all of your time and fortune for this dream to simply go to waste? It is as if something in the depths of your mind is discerning an end, a stopping point. It is amusing, however, that that you could turn back now and leave with possibly some remainder of sanity, some pure form of the common man. But no, you don't want that.
You have a dream to acquire the world's treasures and preserve them in your empire. So, why stop now? After all, you are beholding in the sight of divinity, as if opening the gates to a transcending reality of you own: a sanctuary from the harsh, common, and mortal world. However, this sanctuary is only made possible due to your surrender to the materials that surround you. Now, you are offered an eternal empire in which to keep them.
Your possession of these objects comforts and esteems you; yet, despite your power and significant intelligence, you remain in a cycle of need for what is greater and better. For shame.
But no, rather than stopping, an awakening is discovered. Why let this opportunity, this fleeting moment pass you by? Why not go after your dreams? Is Lugia really what you want? Probably not; there will probably something greater. Something more precious. Something that will not mean a thing... Something like myself.
Thus, the chase begins, and for a second, you feel as if you are watching the world pass below you, through the eyes of a god.
Your deterioration as a human has already begun. You are a pawn to the objects around you, and I am simply the useless voice in the back of your mind.
